Lorenzo J. Lewis, (aka "Chef Jay") is from Montgomery, Alabama. In 2020 Chef Jay completed his degree in the Culinary Arts. Like many chefs he acquired the bulk of his knowledge from thousands of hours in the kitchen during 15 years experience cooking in restaurants, country clubs & hotels. 

 

Before he became a Personal Chef, Chef Jay spent as much time as possible training under chefs in Alabama. While pursuing his degree, he became Executive Chef at the Maxwell Air Force Base Officers Club. After leaving the base, he was appointed Head Chef at Guisseppe's Italian Restaurant, where he spent the remainder of his time in Alabama. 

 

In 2020 Chef Jay moved to Austin and immediately began his Personal Chef Mentorship with Naomi. He has brought a ton of heart and caring to his clients.  For the last year, he's worked tirelessly to learn the multivarious art of Personal Cheffing, including tackling the challenges of starting a small business, and learning to accommodate clients with special dietary needs.

I am a hard working, detail-oriented chef who is passionate about food. I love to express myself through my cooking by infusing the dishes I create with a unique flavor profile that brings out the best in each ingredient. I embrace new challenges and strive to learn more everyday. Cooking is my passion, and I take pride in the food and service that I provide my clients.
